Recently, there has been a growing interest in structural heart disease due to the increasing frequency of structural heart disease and various intervention techniques such as TAVI, LAA closure, ASD occlusion, mitral clip, TMVR and TTVR. These advancements became available through new developments and improvements in available devices, as well as increasing the innovation and progress in imaging techniques. For the successful treatment of these structural heart diseases, cardiac imaging is becoming more important. Of the various cardiac imaging modalities, echocardiography still plays an essential role in the patient's diagnosis and treatment decision-making process. Interventionists and cardiac imaging specialists will need to be skilled in many more procedures to come. These procedures are required the applications of new interventional techniques while integrating imaging before, during and after treatment. These are increasingly complex processes that rely on especially systematic and effective collaboration between cardiovascular imaging specialists and interventionists.
Echo 360 Structural Heart Imaging 2019 Symposium is designed to provide a practical, cutting-edge, and case-based assessment of the emerging area of structural heart disease intervention and interventional cardiovascular imaging. And this symposium will involve multidisciplinary experts in interventional echocardiography, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging and cardiac surgery – all engaged in the heart valve team approach to structural heart disease.
In this symposium, many professional experts will be invited as speakers including echo specialists, interventionists, radiologists, and cardiac surgeons. All of the participants will be able to share the valuable opinions regarding clinical guidelines on patient selection, pre-procedural assessment, procedural tips, techniques and challenges based on real clinical cases during the performances of the procedures and conclude with assessment of outcomes and future directions.
